Located in the basin area of Lake Travis, Bob Wentz Park was first leased to Travis County by LCRA in 1983. The park underwent a $1.2 million renovation in 1990, and Travis County continues its management today. The park is a popular spot windsurfing, sailing, scuba diving, and swimming. The shoreline areas, including a sandy peninsula known as “The Point,” are heavily used, while an adjacent 150-acre tract is maintained as a natural area. The park includes two sand volleyball courts, a shoreline walking path, and a boat dock.
