The collection consists of publications produced by the Human Resources Department, including employee handbooks and County Comment newsletters.
Human Resources Management, previously known as the Personnel and Budget Department, is responsible for the following:
• Advertising and recruiting for vacant positions,
• Administering employee benefit programs such as medical and dental insurance,
• Administering the county's classification and compensation system,
• Providing clarification of personnel policy issues,
• Resolving employee relations issues, and
• Conducting training for employees and managers.
In addition, Human Resources works to ensure a safe work environment through internal claims administration and implementation of safety and loss control programs.
